Hello! I’m Helen Graves, a recipe developer, editor and writer living in London. Flavour Nuggets is my weekly newsletter exploring ways to maximise flavour in everyday cooking.
Some of you may know me for writing barbecue books, others for Pit magazine, or perhaps you’ve seen my work in other publications. I’ve worked widely across print and digital titles for the past 15 years and with many food publishers, photographers, chefs, stylists, retailers and producers. It’s fair to say that I’ve had a hand in many metaphorical pies.
Flavour Nuggets is where I celebrate my love for amping up flavour, distilling my experience into concentrated nuggets - i.e. nifty recipes.
Each week on a Tuesday I share a central recipe I’ve developed - the core nugget. It could be a condiment, sauce, dip, garnish, technique or otherwise useful item that will help make your day-to-day cooking and eating more exciting when you have it on hand. I’ll also give you suggestions for using it, and compile a collection of fun, related readings around the nugget.
